  • Addressing employee needs is the top priority for most benefits decision-makers. In this report, these HR professionals express their views about the ways in which they attempt to better understand their employees, what sources they use to do so, and what benefits their organizations offer to employees to support their financial planning. Benefits decision-makers also share their experience with administering group disability benefits, and with voluntary benefits. This report is based on an online survey, conducted in June, 2007 among close to 70 benefits decision-makers.

  • Meeting client needs, and anticipating what they will need in the future, is the lifeblood of the broker's business. In this report, brokers share their reactions to an informational resource that would help them broach and discuss issues such as personal health and wealth with their clients. Brokers also share information about their experiences with income annuities, group disability benefits, cafeteria plans, and third party administrators. This information exchange was conducted in March, 2007 among close to 200 brokers.
