  • Based on the results of an online survey conducted in September and October, 2010 among more than 200 brokers, this report focuses on a variety of benefits administration issues. Brokers share their insights on the importance of offering employees dental insurance identification cards. Billing practices for non-medical group insurance are also covered, and brokers provide feedback on how best to communicate with employees about supplemental life insurance policies.

  • In an effort to understand relatively low participation rates, this study elicits the opinions of both brokers and employers on their experience with enrolling employees in long-term care insurance products. The Briefing is based on the results of a survey conducted in March and April, 2010 among close to 250 brokers and more than 125 employers. Additionally, research participants share information about their experiences when working with third party administrators (TPAs) and human resource outsourcers (HROs).
